naptime

here's what happens when auntie lua puts nevaeh down. basically she goes to lay down with her and about 30 seconds later, lua is rolled over snoring softly. luckily vaeh is quite content to lounge back with a bottle, and here she even figured a way to sleep with her bottle, without having to hold it up. tricksy little hobbits.
for the next two weeks we will be playing with logan, nevaeh's boyfriend who is a whopping 6 weeks her senior, so keep watch for pics of their shenanigans. today was the first day with "the twins," and it is going pretty good. they are both sleeping right now so i have time to waste on the internet.
i love my life.
p.s. maria, i don't post because this dang website is really hard to upload pics onto, so i usually have a few saved posts just waiting for the day that blogger will allow me to attach pictures too. just don't take out your vaeh cravings on me okay?

birthday party

here are the pics from the princess' birthday party. i love the one of her with her cousin jurnee, and it looks like vaeh is telling her a secret! too cute! and how about the huge up close grin, someone loves being adored...she was so happy that there was practically a weekend devoted to her worship. we went to fuddruckers on her actual birthday and i got her a tiny bowl of whipped cream with a cherry on top. she squealed for about 10 mins, then when we sang her happy birthday, she threw her arms over her head like a pin-up girl and lavished in it. later, a different group sang the big song, and she shot them a dirty look like, "hey, it's MY birthday!" her party was on the sunday at grandma penny's. it was basically family, and we had an awesome time. thanks for all who came, and gave prezzies to an already spoiled baby LOL!

BIRTHDAY GIRL!

on july 6, 2005 at 11:03am, after a GRUELING 36 hour labour this little girl made her first appearance on earth, and won over all the hearts in a 100 meter radius. well the last time i checked nevaeh was that little newborn, tiny little everything. and today is the big day, she is one year old and a freaking giant. that pic of her in her highchair just blows my mind! her legs are huge! our birthday celebrations started off early, auntie maya sent a package in the mail with a CUTE card with hello kitty stickers and a too-die-for shirt (shown above) with the word "boo" on it. this shirt is great, since one of vaeh's nicknames is Boo (like on Monsters Inc) and also it's her fave thing to do to scare people and say Boo (or for her, BA!) Then this morning we got a special call from auntie farideh all the way in africa! all the attention this girl is getting and it's not even 12 hours into her birthday!! it's kinda scary. but like i ominously said to mike when we were opening maya's gift, "so it begins..." it's hard to do anything low-key when you have so many fans. just ask britney spears...lots of love to everyone who supported our little family this past year and who love nevaeh almost as much as we do.
