these pics are all from our trip to waskesiu with the boys

more and more and more

finally!!!!

this thing is ridiculous. i have been trying and trying to post but it refused to upload my pics. i know it's been forever since i posted but i blame lua since she had my freaking camera for so long. we are shortly approaching nevaeh's birthday, it's hard to believe this little munchkin is almost 1!!! she is cruising all over the place (to all the non-moms out there, that means she is walking along furniture), she can stand for a few seconds on her own, and she is learning all kinds of cool stuff. if you play peek-a-boo with her she will copy you and say "BA!" then laugh hysterically at her own joke. my fave trick is when i ask her "what does your bum say?" and she replies by blowing raspberries, and again, laughing heartily at her own joke. she also uses a flip-flop motion with her hands to signal, "all done" when she is eating. she is climbing stairs like a pro, she even figured out how to climb onto the futon by using mike's guitar as a step. she can climb down too now, so if she wants to get down from anywhere she will kick out her leg no matter how far she is from the edge. she can copy a lot of the words we say but she hasn't quite developed her own words. but she does have her own language. the other day she was reading to lua off a sheet of paper: "dabubadebabudapdabudabudabedap" [flips card over] "dabudabedabedap...." and so on... yesterday when i asked her how she said mama, she even pointed at me and laughed. it was really cool. on a completely different note, you should all watch the movie, "new world." i know what you are saying, "the pocahontas movie???" but it is really good, and you should totally check out the special features. two thumbs up! the pics posted are from my bday and father's day party. they were on the same day this year, and i wondered at the fact that by the time they are on the same day again, nevaeh will be like almost 8 and making her own cards for us...
